Dear people of 2115,
In 2015, there is many controversial issues and opinions. Some subjects that are argued are homosexual rights, bullying, shootings, etc. Many things are happening and each and every person has a different opinion. In this letter I will be sharing the conflicts in the 2015 and I will also be voicing my opinion on the many issues.
There is many issues in not only Canada, but the whole world! In 2015, there is still controversy about gay right because in 2003, same-sex marriage had been legalized in eight out of ten provinces and one of three territories. Not only that, but teens that are into others of the same-sex are being ruled out as "weird, gay, queer, etc." which brings me right to the topic of bullying.
There is very much bullying in the world, it might not be on the news but to a teenager being harassed and threatened, it is everything. There are many teens in the 2015 world that are being bullied on social media, but make no move to stop it. Bullies have caused many kids to develop feelings of hopelessness and suicide.
All around the world, there is shootings; like I said before, there is many opinions on different topics in the world and those who do not agree with others opinions tend to take it out by murder. People obviously don't like getting caught doing something inappropriate or wrong, so when the authorities try to help these people into an easier and better lifestyle they crack and often end up hurting or even murdering the authorities. Shootings and harassment is a current conflict in 2015.
Many more bad things are happening in 2015, but why look at the glass as half empty? The glass is half full. I cannot forget to mention the beautiful green grass I see when I look out my window. We can make beauty out of anything, there is some flaws but we can't forget that the 2015 world is beautiful. I go to school everyday and I make friends, go home to a warm house with good food and a loving family. Even though the world has lots of negativity, we can't forget the positivity!

5 Things For a Time Capsule.
If I was going to place 5 things in a time capsule to be opened in 100 years I would put in:
1. Stamps, because on stamps there is photos of important culture. (The Queen, polar bears, moose, first nations people, mounties, etc.) When people see the stamps in 100 years they will have an idea of the cultures in 2015.
2. Newspapers and journals with present-day conflicts. In 100 years when people see newspapers and journals with present conflicts they will be able to compare the 2015 conflicts with their present day conflicts. The newspapers will help them to understand the life in 2015. The journals will help them to understand what made us 2015 folks happy, upset, mad, etc....
3. The Hunger Games series. The Hunger Games was a very popular book series between 2008 and 2015, and I think people in 2115 deserve to understand the kind of literature we were into in 2015. They can compare our popular novels to their popular novels and see how English has changed.
4. Money. When we look back at 1915 money we compare it to ours, and see how it changed; they will be doing the same! Money has important Canadian trademarks on it, coins and bills. In the future, they will get a lot of important information from our money.
5. A photo album filled with pictures of present cars, houses, grass, children, adults, the country, the city, school, clothing, pets, etc. No one knows what the future will be like, so in my opinion, they deserve to know what we lived like. Pictures of our cars will show how we traveled, houses will show where we lived, the outside scenery of the country and city will contrast with their landscape, pictures of children and adults and clothing will help us represent our lifestyles, our pet pictures will show them the ways we had fun and spent our time with other living creatures. and pictures of school books and school houses will help them to learn how we got educated. Other photos will be included also, whatever anyone would like to include.

Ruby & Ronald the Royal Rhinos
Ruby & Ronald the Royal Rhinos
Page 1
In a magical castle in Ogie, South Africa, there lived two royal rhinos. Four year old Ruby and her nine year old brother, Ronald.
“Ruby and Ronald the royal rhinos!” chanted the village, as the rhinos stylishly stride through the welcoming parade.
Page 2
Ruby was styling strappy sandals, frilly fabrics, and amazing accessories. Ronald strutted with his shiny shoes, a tailored tuxedo, and a terrific tie. Suddenly they spotted 2 cheeky chimpanzees and began to cheer.
"WOOOO!” cheered the chimpanzees and roared the rhinos.
Page 3
“The village is gone home now, do you think we could go find those two cheeky chimps?” questioned Ronald.
“Yeah! Cheeky chimps!” chanted Ruby.
“Yeah! Cheeky chimps!” chanted Ruby.
As they left the castle with confidence they saw a few brilliant green bushes rustling.
"What’s that?! Ronald, me scared!” whined Ruby.
Page 4
Out popped Charlie and Cherry the charming chimpanzees
"Woah!" yelled Ruby!
"You're Ruby and Ronald the royal rhinos!" exclaimed Cherry.
"Yeah, you guys are those chimpanzees we seen earlier! What's your name?" said Ronald excitedly!
"I'm Charlie and I'm ten! That's my sister Cherry and she is five!" explained Charlie the chimpanzee.
"Let's be friends!" they all shouted in sync.
Page 5
After about a week, Cherry and Charlie the chimps came to visit Ronald and Ruby the rhinos.
"We will go to my room and play?" asked Ronald.
"Sure, that'll be fun!" said Charlie excitedly.
"We will go to my room and play?" asked Ronald.
"Sure, that'll be fun!" said Charlie excitedly.
Three rooms away, Ruby told Cherry, "We play in the living room!"
"Okay then," said Cherry.
Page 6
"We play with my beautiful Barbie!" demanded Ruby.
"Can't we play with my stuffed animals?" asked Cherry sadly.
"Because my toys are nicer, yours are worn and torn!" explained Ruby rudely.
They played together every Thursday evening, as did Ronald and Charlie.
Page 7
"We are going to play with my dinky cars!" demanded Ronald
"But I brought mine too," said Charlie sadly.
"Yours are too scratched and mismatched!" insisted Ronald.
On and on it went, Ruby being bossy to Cherry and Ronald being bossy to Charlie. It was beginning to become sickening.
Page 8
After two months of Ruby and Ronald being the boss, Charlie and Cherry decided to take a stand. One day, at the royal castle, Charlie and Cherry were playing their usual; dinky cars and Barbie dolls.
"Hey let's play hide and go seek!" suggested Charlie.
"Yeah!" commented Cherry.
"What's that?" asked both Ronald and Ruby.
As the cheeky chimps explained the rules to the royal rhinos, they began to think about how much fun it would be to change it up!
Page 9
After a successful game of hide and go seek, Charlie and Cherry asked how much fun Ronald and Ruby had.
"We usually don't play games like that, dinky cars is my thing and Barbies is hers, but I liked it a lot," explained Ronald.
"Me think so too," Ruby foolishly added.
"Isn't it nice to change things up, play new games and explore new places?" asked Charlie and Cherry.
"I'm happy you guys are my friends, we are sorry for being bossy!" stated Ronald as he realizes that villagers like Charlie and Cherry can have just as much fun as Ruby and himself.
Page 10
*ten years later*
"Bye Charlie!" exclaimed Ronald.
"See you, Cherry! said Ruby sadly.
As Cherry and Charlie the cheeky chimpanzees waved goodbye to Ronald and Ruby the royal rhinos and packed the moving van, they realized how important their friendship really was!
"Thank you!" they all chanted at the same time, realizing they should always be thankful for what they've got! :)

Analyzing Childrens Stories
Kitty Wants a Box-
- In this story, there is a cat looking for the perfect box; one is too big, one too tall, one too short and one too small, one is too wide and the other is perfect inside! I think this story shows that we all have troubles and get stressed out, but in the end we always end up with the perfect resolution. The cat could not find a suitable box, but at the end she was content with her final box. This does not only happen with cats but with humans too, we may go to the mall and never find a suitable shirt but eventually we fall in love with another shirt!
- This story would be appealing to children because it's very simple, easy to read, cute, and has a happy ending. Children are attracted to things like cats, and happy endings, so considering there is a cat finding it's happy ending I'd expect this to be a fairly well liked book
Fruit Salad-
- In this story, there is 4 fruits deciding what they want to do with themselves. The apple cannot decide; after a sad period of time he meets his old friends again and realizes that their careers didn't pursue too well either. They end up going together and living happily ever after. This story shows that we are all equal and if we let go of what we love, if its meant to be it will come back. Even through sad periods of time we should realize that eventually we will have our happy ending, and this story shows that. After all, in order to ride off into the sunset you've got to drive on the bumpy road.
- Children will like this story because of it's meaning. Children gravitate to cute stories with characters like fruits and who doesn't like a happy ending? This story has a deep meaning that children may not directly understand but it'll stick in the back of their minds.
Buzzy Bee
- In this story, Buzzy Bee cannot resist the flowers. He ends up getting plenty of nectar from them and then swells up, his fellow bee friends come to save him. Buzzy Bee gave into the temptation and ended up embarrassed and hopeless. This story shows that giving in to temptation comes with consequences. If you do something that you know deep down isn't right, then there will be a punishment!
- Children will enjoy this story because it is comical. The bee made a stupid decision and ended up swelling all up and getting saved. This is funny to children because often embarrassment is comical, especially when it's an embarrassed bee.

How To Handle Thin Hair
How To Handle Thin Hair
Thin hair can result in microscopic buns after hours of trying, bobby pins falling out, being able to curl or straighten your hair in ten minutes, and flyaway (baby) hairs EVERYWHERE! Does your hair fall flatly on your head? When you put your hair in a bun or ponytail is the elastic required to wrap around about 6 times? Is your hair so thin that a mere ten minutes can be enough to prepare your hair for a ball? If so, this article is for you!
Step 1: Shampoo for thin hair
With frail hair it is very hard to choose a particular shampoo. The brand, type and amount can depend all on your level of oil, your volume, shine, softness, etc. If you have dry, thin hair and you want luscious, bouncy volume you could use “Herbal Essences Touchably Smooth” shampoo or “Dove Daily Moisture” shampoo. If you have flat, unpleasant hair “Aussie Aussome Volume” would help you. “Ion Thickening Shampoo” from Sallys is for you if you have thin annoying hair! If your hair is dry, yet oily, shineless, and flat you should use “Mane n Tail” shampoo.
Step 2: How to casually wear your hair
Going to school, going shopping, or other casual events. How to style your thin, frail hair? With a casual outfit you could straighten your hair or put it in a bun or ponytail. First you need to know how to properly wear messy buns, ponytails, and straight hair.
Step 3: How to style a ponytail, bun or straight hair
Messy bun- To master the messy look just pull your hair up, throw it in a messy bun, bobby pin some pieces down and finish it off by pulling some pieces loose.
Ponytail- Comb your hair up into your ideal ponytail, bobby pin flyaways down, and just go! Who cares what anyone thinks, if your hair is comfortable on your head that’s all that matters!
Straight hair- First, use your ideal shampoo. Get a good, expensive straightener from Sallys or your hairdresser and plug it in! When your straightener gets steaming hot, you’re ready! Take a small section of your hair and pin the rest back, straighten the part thats down then repeat until finished. Style as desired.
Step 4: How to style your hair for fancy event
With thin hair, we are forced to either get our hair done by the hairdresser for fancy events or style an updo! Sadly, thin hair often doesn’t stay curled, and falls out of an updo. To keep your thin fragile hair curled I suggest using a heat protection cream first. After purchasing an expensive, good quality curling iron from Sallys or your hairdresser, curl your hair and set it with a good firm-hold hairspray.
If you’re more interested in an updo, follow those steps, but pin it all up into a loose or tight bun, whichever you desire. Set with plenty of firm-hold hairspray.
Step 5: LET LOOSE!
The most important thing to do with thin hair is to not care! Style your hair however you desire and let loose! Be yourself and style your gorgeous locks!

I chose the article "How To Be Happy When You Have Nothing" to review. I chose this article because it relates to my beliefs, I believe in being happy with what you have. The only thing I have to diss is the title of this article; you always have something! your hair, your fingers, your legs, your cloths, your family, your heart. If I could, I would change the title of this article to "How To Be Happy For No Reason" This article is very accurate and holds many helpful tips, it is very important and I think many people should inspect it. It is very helpful and useful to the everyday life.
Something I think that should be added to the rubric would be: "This article uses descriptive words and describes the subject greatly"

Finding Forrester Film Review
Sean Connery as William Forrester, Rob Brown as Jamal Wallace, F. Murray Abraham as Professor Robert Crawford, and many more feature in the meaningful movie Finding Forrester. In 2000, Columbia Pictures produced Finding Forrester. Since then, the views and popularity of this film has hit the clouds. In schools all over the word, Finding Forrester is a popular film shown; for many reasons, to show judging a book by it’s cover gets you absolutely no where, that friendship is the ultimate gift, and that equality is key to a happy life.
Everyone has been offered an opportunity that could alter a life, whether it was taken or not is unknown. In Jamal Wallace’s case, getting into a new private school and stumbling upon an amazing mentor was his life-changing event.Leaving his old school behind to be welcomed to a very proper and sophisticated atmosphere, was a very big change. When you lose one thing, another better thing comes along, as Jamal has shown. Unexpectedly, he stumbled upon the one man who influenced him into finding his “words”. Just like in a book every experience has a climax, right when things seem to be okay something major happens, then it gets somehow resolved, and life is continued. As humans mistakes are made as Jamal learned, but they eventually get resolved!
In each & every scenario, there is mutual similarities with another scenario. As soon as Finding Forrester came on To Kill A Mockingbird came to mind. In Finding Forrester there’s an outcast, and racism, which is very similar to To Kill A Mockingbird. Finding Forrester features aspects of racism, the part when a man owning a BMW in whom has prejudices against black people and thinks those living in the Bronx do not know anything about brands like BMW. The behaviour of Mr. Crawford also shows racism. As Jamal´s teacher at the private school he does not believe that someone like Jamal who is young and black can write such good texts what leads to suspicions that he copied the words from Forrester. In To Kill A Mockingbird racism is shown towards Tom Robinson, as it is shown towards Jamal Wallace. Another similarity would be the fact that William Forrester and Boo Radley both remain in their humble abodes, away from the world, and Jamal and Scout finally get them out, they help them find themselves.
In this film the music and acting is very strong. Music is used in every movie, and sometimes it is not used correctly. Imagine loud, vicious music in a happy scene with a child eating ice cream? It wouldn't work, right? So, in Finding Forrester the correct music is used to help bring out the message in the scene. In emotional heartwarming scenes, slow music like piano would be used. In happy scenes, upbeat fun music would be used. The overall theme in this film would most likely be do not judge a book by it’s cover, or friendship is key. Because this film shows how friendship is and can be used to mend any personality, this film also shows how just because someone is isolated from the world, does NOT mean that they are a bad person. This film conveyed to me think better, it helped me to realize that everyone fights an internal battle that you may not know about.

The Conjuring Film Review
The Conjuring
For my film review I chose the movie "The Conjuring." I chose this film review because it shows a basic outline of the movie, but doesn't spoil the ending. It is very important to only look at reviews that dont show the ending, because NO ONE likes to know what happens in a film. I think this is a good review because you can select "Critic Reviews" to see how others enjoyed the movie also.
I like movies that are scary and have a good story line. I like movies that are scary because they give some sort of thrill to watch. Movies like The Conjuring are great to watch at a night with friends in the living room or at theatres. Scary movies help expand our minds into thinking about the many aspects & possibilities in life. If I could do a film review on any movie I would probably use Annabelle because it is the prequel to The Conjuring.

Love Is Blind
Love is blind, or so they say. It seems every time I look down at my fragile ring finger not only do I see a sparkling, gold ring but I see complete love. Everywhere I look, I see sweet love. Whether it's a puppy or a steaming slice of pizza, he's always in the back of my mind.
A thin, shiny gold ring that seems to reflect the sunlight rests on finger. It separates into two strands, meeting in the middle to gently yet firmly hold that diamond that sparkles almost as bright as his eyes. Along the two strands that run on each side of my finger small, beautiful diamonds rest. Size 8, it slid on my finger like it belongs, kind of like when we intertwine fingers it feels so natural.
A little german shepard/husky mix is what held my ring. How? Here's how it all started: I was on my way home from work, adventuring to our freshly broken in apartment. We had just recently moved in together for the first time, and nothing feels as brilliant as falling fast asleep on his gentle, muscular, warm shoulder. moving in with him has aided me into falling even more absolutely in love with him. I was prepared to make him his absolute favourite, to come home from a long day at work to see a steamy hot meal on the table, waiting to be devoured. As I place a new shiny pot on our sterling silver stove, I hear a rustle in the bedroom. Scared to death, I walk in on my tiptoes; prepared to hurt someone with the reflective, razor sharp knife in my tense hand. I begin to walk in the bedroom realizing there is a luscious path of gorgeous rose petals leading to the bedroom. I've been tramping on these petals; what a hopeless romantic. What is going on?
All of a sudden, a tiny, innocent puppy with a sparkling collar jumped on my bare leg. Looking at the collar to discover who's dog this was, I seen the ring. Resting on the hook where you would usually connect a leash. I was beginning to feel a fluttering abundance if butterflies in my tummy. Looking at the dazzling heart shaped tag I seen it did not have a name or number on it, but it said "I love you, MARRY ME?" The puppy jumped down, and began running into the bedroom. I followed him, and what I seen was irreplaceable.
A large abundance of rose petals blushing in pink and red shades littered the floor. White glittering lights decorated our dull white walls. Candles with a flickering flame spelling out "MARRY ME?" attracted my eyes. My charming boy, knelt on one knee in the doorway. I realized just then, that life is a game, and love is the prize. Love is blind, or so they say, but right now love is all I see.

Writing Inventory
Writing is something all people do, for school, work, or even fun! Writing is one thing I love to do; writing to me is a kind of closure. Since my childhood I've always adored writing, I write in possibly all of my spare time. When I have nothing to do, I write my feelings down, and in my purse I carry all of those little notes.
I’m always reading, I have piles upon piles of books in my bedroom read and unread. My favorite authors are: Steven king, Shakespeare, Sarah Dessen and Jodi Picoult. My favorite kinds of writing would be poetry and a classic essay. I love writing poetry; it comes so naturally to me. Writing a classic essay is my choice because I find it very easy to do. Writing an essay or poetry comes so smoothly to me, so it is my favorite kind of writing. Not all writing comes smoothly for me though; narrative or comparison pieces are sort of difficult and challenging.
I write about many many things. I have a very vast imagination; my imagination extends upon a wide variety of things. I write very deep emotional poetry, I write foolish and silly short stories for children, and I can also write successful essays. I come up with my ideas simply just from my mind, I can think of an idea in an instant!
Right now, I am not currently working on anything, I write my feelings down everyday, but it is nothing special. I write poetry just when it comes to me, whether at 2am or in the middle of class, I always find myself writing. Once, when I was in Grade 9, I wrote a biography for English class. I was very proud of this work; it was easy to write because I simply just had to write about myself. I got 96% on this assignment, I was very proud, I felt much achieved.
When I write, I usually do not produce drafts, I try my best during my original and I use pencil so I do not usually need to do a draft. I get good marks in English mainly because my voice. When I write, I do not go simple; I go big or go home. When I write I'm very deep and emotional. My strengths as a writer would be my voice, and my description. I am not that good with grammar, when I write, I tend to use too many commas. I am usually a decent writer, but grammar isn't my strong suit.
My favorite subject to write about would be life; writing about life is so easy, mainly because we all have one. We’ve all been through hardships and we have all been hurt, so I find writing a classic essay on life is easy. My goals as a writer would be to graduate with a very high English mark, and to write a childrens book! I hope this course will help me achieve my goals! (:
